This year LHS began a new computer course for all science and math teachers. The program is another step toward broadening the scope of educational efforts, or in the View of Supt. Noah Gray, an experiment in the application of technology in teaching. Two computer systems are being used in this experiment, one at Middle School and one here at the Senior High. There are seventeen par- ticipating teachers of math and science who received special txain- ing in the use of the computer terminals. At the end of this school year each teacher was asked to evaluate the system. Perhaps we will find that computers can be used in the teaching of reading, arithmetic, languages, and fine arts as well as science and higher mathematics. Only time and ex- perience will tell, asserts Supt. Gray. l F, if at-A ef-A L g STANDING: MR. JOHN CREWS, Algebra II, Plane Geometry, Senior Spon- sor, MR.
