Eseryoneo anxiously awaited the trip on this plane of High Learning. We were eager to ny to the land of Great Wisdom where we were to remain for the next four years. Upon arriving in Great Wisdom we were welcomed by a High Potentate, Hr. Janes H. Seeney, who became our guide, counselor, and protector. our sponsor was Hr. G. Brooks. We shall never forget his kindly interest in making us feel as if we were a part of the school. We were welcomed by some of the older inhabitants of Great wisdom-the sophomores who enter- tained us merrily, ridicullng us and exposing our ignorance for all the world to see. We spent the year studying such material as our guide thought wuld be helpful to us during our stay in the land of Great Wisdom. We also en- gaged in many oo-curricular activities. Two members of our class, Jimmy Cspelton and Henry Thomas were selected for the basketball team. Some menbers joined the Chorus, Dramatics Club, N. H. A., Comercial Club, and Hi-I. We worked, studied, and played for nine months, after which time the High Potentate released us from service for a three months vacation. We returned to Great wisdom the second year with good resolutions, eager to resume our work. Richard Blackwell was elected to lead us, while Carl Smith, Elaine Brown, william Van Buren, and Goldie Vaughn were elect- ed to represent us on the Student Council. Thus another year passed in which we gained more self-confidence and knowledge. Upon our return the third year, we chose Goldie Vaughn to guide us. We were again represented on the Student Council by the same classmates, with Sullivan T. Bradford joining them. We began a new yearvs work con- fident in the knowledge that great things were in store for us. We were not mistaken. Four of our group were inducted into the National Honor Society. Crhis is the highest honor argone can receive in Great Wisdomj. One of our mqnbers, Shirley Richmond, was chosen to lead the Majorettes. The basketball team included J. Cafpelton, co-captain. S- T- Bfedfvnh Tm 31-mm Elbert Williams william Campbell, Jack Carter, and H. Thomas. We ended' the year by spogsoring the nfinestf' Junior-Senior Prom ever given ln the lard of Great Wisdom.
