An Apple A Day If your lack of sleep and proper food kept you sleeping in study halls, chances are you should have paid heed to the advice of the Health committee. Under the chairmanship of Karen Fleming the committee held many healthy food sales and made tags for United Clubs' Week. nm uwnxa l Letls Have A Party Co-chairmen Laura Sylven and Susie Osser headed the Party commit- tee. They planned the several Girls' Club and Cabinet parties that popped into our,busy weeks. Some of those held for the girls were the Halloween party, Pnnkin Prance , the Christ- mas cabinet party, and the Mother- Daughter Tea. PROMOTING CULTURAL INTERESTS Barbara Blair and her Art Ac- tivities committee were busy publi- cizing contests on painting, writing, photography and music that were open to all interested students. They also saw several plays and musicals and wrote previews of the perform- ance for the Lincolnette. They put up colorful decorations for events during Boys' and Girls' Club Week, helped L.S.A. place Christmas decorations, and made a. calendai' for the Girls' Club each month. Band-Aid Maids Helping to patch up minor cuts and bruises and calling students into the nurse's office for a health check-up were the main duties of the Nurses' Aid Committee. These girls gained valuable experience which will help them if they should choose 21 nursing career. Sharon Johansen was their chairman. CLEVER CLERICAL CUTIES The Clerical cnmmittee worked with the Lincolnette committee tn edit the Girls' Club paper The Lineolnettef' In addition te that they busied themselves printing in- vitations, programs, and various announcements. Elaine Kanis was their chairman. SCISSOHS, PAPER AND PASTE A very special honor' in Girls' Club went to the Girls of the Week. They were chosen for their work on committees and in charge of publicizing their achievements was the Publicity cummillec, head- ed by Winkie Bradbury. She and her committee members decorated the bulletin boards and posted the honored girl's picture each week. The Wefirinl of the White and Navy Standards committee, under the co-chairmanship of Delores Went- worth and Virginia Munro, were in charge of promoting the Wearing of Standard dress every Tuesday. Be- sides successfully accomplishing this they had a Keep Key Konscious drive to publicize the necessity of keeping the lockers locked.
