Happily Helpin Others The Ryther Child Center. the Lutheran Old Folks Home. and Fir lands were three places that thank- fully accepted holiday favors and gifts made by our Social Service committee and their chairman Cathy Cropley. The committee also aided the Junior American Red Cross by making layettes. slippers. and gift boxes for other countries. W Fricnlislrip Promoters Charlene Russell was a busy gal guiding her active Friendship Come mittee Workers, These girls planned gaily decorated Friendship tables in the lunchroom, worked hard to create a friendly atmosphere and made tags shaped like rattles for United Clubs' Week. g...1 Scrapbook Scramlalers The party favors, pictures and newspaper clippings of this year that adorn the Girls' Club scrapbook were carefully placed there by members of the Extensions committee. They are responsible for gathering those articles and placing them in appeal- ing Ways in the scrapbook. The com- mittee Was headed by Pat Ostrom. Sprucing Up The Girls' Club The Art committee. under the chairmanship of Susan Wood. spent their year contributing to the at- mosphere and friendliness of Girls' Club. Among their activities were painting the mirror in the G. An Apple A Day If your lack of sleep and proper food kept you sleeping in study halls, chances are you should have paid heed to the advice of the Health committee. Under the chairmanship of Karen Fleming the committee held many healthy food sales and made tags for United Clubs' Week. nm uwnxa l Letls Have A Party Co-chairmen Laura Sylven and Susie Osser headed the Party commit- tee. They planned the several Girls' Club and Cabinet parties that popped into our,busy weeks. Some of those held for the girls were the Halloween party, Pnnkin Prance , the Christ- mas cabinet party, and the Mother- Daughter Tea. PROMOTING CULTURAL INTERESTS Barbara Blair and her Art Ac- tivities committee were busy publi- cizing contests on painting, writing, photography and music that were open to all interested students. They also saw several plays and musicals and wrote previews of the perform- ance for the Lincolnette.
