Dorothy Laidlaw, Karin Gordon, Phyllis Grahn, Nancy Turner, Mike Yuhl Mrs. McCaskill, Collen Cruikshank. Sophomore Class History Two years ago we were looking forward to being 'Big Sophomores,' and after a really hard struggle we've finally made the grade. At first we were a little shy but before long we got to be pretty important around school. This year under the capable leadership of our advisor Mrs. Hazel Mc- Caskill, our officers were Collen Cruikshank, President, Karen Gordon, Vice-President, Nancye Thrner, Secretary Treasurer, Phyllis Grahn, Student Council Representative, Lois Williamson, Totem Reporter, and Mike Yuhl, Boys' Club Board of'Control. We started our '49 activities with a candy cane sale to help finance our traditional entertainment in honor of the Freshmen. ln December, we presumed the Santa Swing, which was one of the most successful dances of the year. The Frosh entertained the Sophs in March with a Talent Show and movie assembly, which was madelnnentirely of Freshmen. This Year the Sophomore Class welcomed more than one hundred students from Hamilton and we're proud to have them with us. We Sophs haven't had much chance todisplay our talent, financial status, and our clever ideas, but with two remaining years at Lincoln, how can we help but be outstanding. l 59
