FRESHMAN OFFICERS: Vice President, Donald Davis: Treasurer, Ioan Lappin: Secretary, Helen Breedlove: President. Sandra Harris FRESHMAN CLASS . . . . . This year's freshies started their career by electing four very capable oflicers. Sandra has the unique honor of being one of the few feminine presidents in the history of Lincoln. Their class party was well attended and very typical of most be- ginning dances. The boys, just a little shy and unsure of their brand new two-step needed a little coaxing, but after they found out how much fun it was, they didn't want to go home until the last chord was sounded. The frosh football and basketball teams turned in excellent records and five Freshman Amazons received berths on Army and Navy Re- serves. The Y-Teen and Hi-Y formals held quite a thrill for these new- comers to Lincoln, but they soon learned to feel at home waltzing to the strains of some top tune at beautiful Moonlight Ballroom. Next year the halls Won't seem so long, the auditorium so huge, or the homework so difficult. 62
