Company of Wayward Saints'PIays in Led by Director N. Bradley Newlon, The Company of Wayward Saints de- scended upon the Johnston Center of Per- forming Arts after a joyous eviction from the cramped quarters of OBS. George Herman's play was excellently interpreted by a cast of nine who managed to overcome such obstacles as an unfin- ished theater. The LC players unofficially opened the new building by giving the first perfor- mance in the theater. The Company, laughingly portrayed New uarters different aspects of life through various comical skits in a lighthearted fashion. Featured in the cast were Steve Marcus, john Read, Paul Smith, Kathy Thornburg, Gary Maxey Cchosen by Newlon at sea- son's end for Best Actor Awardb, Eve Killebrew, Bill Cook, Colleen Crane, and Tony Matarresse. LIAT 'V Barbara Bracy QSECOND FROM RIGI-ITD was freshman Water Show queen, high- Dave Buchanan C595 peeks in light of Mothers Weekend against varsity. Homecoming Saw lu ms Return, ueens and Hoops Highlights of the fall semester were Homecoming and Mothers' Day Weekend. Both were loaded with fun and games, the first for the alums and the second for the Moms. Alums got together at the Homecom- ing Dance in the gymnasium, but first got a View of Al Pickering's Varsity bas- ketball squad as the Lynx battled former letterwinners in a real rousing contest. Mothers' Day Weekend was capped by a play in the new Johnston Center for the Performing Arts, as Well as a Water show, and those ever-present grades. Individual appointments with teach- ers, like a trip to the dentist, brought out promises of future improvement and higher grades. Both were more easily promised than produced.
