Kendrick of Bowdoin College announced that Lincoln Academy had won the Abraxas Cup. Representing the school were David J. Belknap of Damariscotta, James D. Birkett of Nobleboro, and Robert W. Packard of Jefferson. The Abraxas Cup is awarded each year to that school whose graduates have attained the best academic grades at Bowdoin during the first semester of the freshman year. To be eligible, a school must have at least three representatives.
