Track The Lincoln Academy track team had a fairly good season this year, The able tracksters won all but one of their scheduled meets, which included Waldoboro, Wiscaset, Wilton, Camden, Thomaston and Rockland. It must be noticed that many of these opponents were much larger schools than Lincoln. Consisting of many upperclassmen, the Lincoln track team will have to dip into its under-graduate rank and build a winning team for the years to come. Baseball The fall baseball team was made up primarily of Freshman and Sophomore boys. Many fine pros- pects from these two lower classes were found and should assure Lincoln an excellent team in the years ahead, The immediate outlook for 1955 is not very encouraging as only three varsity players are returning This does not mean that we can't have a good team, for through hard, diligent practice and co-opera- tion, Lincoln can be a contender for the Knox-Lincoln Championship ham. 1954 SCHEDULE Boothbay Harbor Home Lost Wiscasset Home Won W aldoboro Away Won Waldoboro Home Won Wiscasset Away Canceled Boothbay Harbor Away Lost First row B Morrill, P. The Council has sponsored various fund -raising ac- tivities and dances during the year to help meet the budget drawn up by the officers of the Student Council for sports and organizations. The sale of ice cream, managed by the Council, and the Magazine Drive are among the most profitable of these activities.
