Classes in home economics, agriculture, and Q If ' shop are offered to all high school students. Mrs. Geiger, supervisor ofhome economics directs the girls in better home practices, family relations, and home nursing. She teaches all home economic girls to sew well and to prepare nourishing meals. Mrs. Geiger sponsors the freshman class and advises the F. H. A. 1 The agriculture boys, under the guidance of Mr, Cecil W Yoder, have taken several field trips to further their know- ledge of farm problems. Along this same line they learn to judge and to figure feed ratios for livestock. Mr. Yoder is the advisor of the F. F, A. , - Mr. Reynolds teaches the shop boys useful methods of woodworking and mechanical drawing. Some of their Mrs' Geiger, home economics teacher' demon' projects for this past year were making coffee tables and lamps. MATH AND BUSINESS r Mr. Charles Beck teaches skills and abilities in geometry and scien tific thinking. At the same time the fundamentals of mathematics are stressed to the seventh graders by Mr. Starkey. In both of these curriculums assignments are made within the student's potential range of understanding and interest. General business provides the basic knowledge, skill, habit, and attitude for a successful living in the business world of today, The vocational program, supervised by Mr. Robert Dragoo, assists cap- able students in preparing for employment in business occupations. Apart from his teaching general business, Mr. Dragoo also teaches driver's training to the sophomores and juniors who are eligible, Mr. Robert Hayes, head of Ligonier's commerce department, directs courses in typing and shorthand.
