Jack Schlemmer and Channing Todd are now the owners of the Schlem-Todd Elevators, Schlem-Todd Saw Mills, and Schlem-Todd Poultry Mash. QBig opera- tors, eh'?j Yehuda J. Barch, the well-known engineer, is now undertaking the great task of irrigating the Sahara Desert. There's been a lot of talk about it. The Crystal Theatre is currently featuring Curly Couts, the Boogie King. Don Chrisman, president of the Chrisman Construction Co., who designed and built Ligonier's long-awaited new school building, is now honeymooning in Ber- muda with his blushing bride, Loraine Sheley. Marlene Duesler will soon be the new Betty Crocker with General Mills. Calvin Miller, in addition to being a successful farmer, is vice president of the Chatfield Feed Company. Jim Biddle and his assistant, Karen Ulrey, have a perpetual contract as photog- raphers of the L. ,H. S. senior classes. Sarah Fleck is receptionist for the Eleganza Beauty Salon, famous for its dis- tinguished clientele-which includes Janice Speicher, Donna Sprague, and Joan Hicks, owners of the Ligonier Business College, Joyce Kaplan, laboratory technician and research professor, the discoverer of a quick cure for chicken pox, Mary Shell, a girl of many sports, organizer and head of the Nurses' Basketball League of lndiana, and Gretchen Stultz, the Prohibition Party's perennial candidate for Lieu- tenant Governor, who ran unsuccessfully in the last four elections. QSomeday, she'll win.j Two of the Jacks are very successful in their fields. Jack Moser is head of the atomic commission at Purdue University, Jack Gage is better known as General Jackson Maxwell Gage, hero of Knobs Hills. Laroy Grooms has recently been elected president of the tractor division of the John Deere Corporation. Larry Moser, the manager of Farms Unlimited, was Corn King in 1963, Onion King in 1964, and Tomato King in 1965. Dale Sperry, top designer for Ford Motor Company, and George B. Moser, in- ventor of an engine that runs on hot air, are now competitors in the automotive field. Elsie Hoffman is the first woman driver ever to win the famous Memorial Day, 500-mile race at Indianapolis Speedway. If you should see a big black Cadillac whiz by, its occupant will almost surely be the fabulous John L. Garvin, head of the Fidelity Loan 8- Trust Co. of New York City. Shirley Henry makes a very impressive and efficient Dean of Men at Vassar College. Nice work if you can get it. 4 I l Bob Hite and Lee Chrisman are traveling with Ringling Bros. Circus, they are two of the twenty-one passengers riding in a midget stunt car. Merlin Neff, Senator from lndiana, has proposed a bill to build a great dam across the Elkhart River. He hikes down every evening to view the site of his proiect. U Don Sharpe, former varsity basketball player, is now water boy for the Zollner f. Pistons, dealing out just plain water-not irewater. I U t Myrtle Manges, an expert in affairs of the heart while in high school, now runs an Advice to the Lovelorn Agency in Chicago.

I, Don Chrisman, will my ability to stick to one girl to Gerald Miller. I, Lee Chrisman, do will my car and my share in the pool hall to Roger Allen. I, Curt Couts, will my wonderful 245-pound physique to Donald Smith. I, Marlene Duesler, will my naturally curly hair to Bobby Sprague. I, Sarah Fleck, will my lustrous red hair to Joyce Ann Gorrill. I Jack Gage, will the atomic bomb I made in chemistry to Mr. Robb for safekeeping. I, John Garvin, will my I937 Hudson, Terrible Pain, to anyone who has the courage to drive it. I, Laroy Grooms, will my power of persuasive speech to Jane Kerner. I, Shirley Henry, will my ability to get along with the teachers to Barry Green. I, Joan Hicks, will my power to diet to anyone who needs it. I, Bob Hite, will my morning passengers to anyone who owns a trailer. I, Elsie Hoffman, do here and now will my car to Marianne Zavecky. I, Joyce Kaplan, will my job as Mr. Hayes' assistant to Rosalie Wellman. I, Judy Loeser, having set many speed records in running through the halls, will my track shoes to Gary Botts. I, Myrtle Manges, will every inch of my height to Jim Renner. I, Calvin Miller, will my basketball uniform to Kyle Cunningham in hopes he will soon grow into it. I, George B. Moser, will my ability to overwhelm the women to Charles Burns. I, Larry Moser, will my Green Hornet truck and my parking place to Norman Ulrey, knowing someone can tell him how to find it. I, Jack Moser, will my collection of track ribbons to Arthur Targgart. I, Merlin Neff, do willingly will my immunity to girls to Jerry Branham. I Jack Schlemmer, will my new-found basketball ability to Denny Wade. I, Donald Sharpe, will my Monday morning headaches and bloodshot eyes to Jim Renner. I, Loraine Sheley, will my hopechest to Sherril Wallenback. I, Janice Speicher, will my ability to get along with Mr. Hayes to Mary Adams. I, Mary Shell, will my agreeable disposition to Aurel Hayden. I, Dale Sperry, will my bashfulness to Mike Burk. I, Donna Sprague, hereby will my quiet ways to Mary Ann Lewis. I, Gretchen Stultz, will my quietness in Mr. Vernon's assembly to the junior boys. I, Channing Todd, will my ability to get home from town in two minutes and thirty-nine seconds to Kenny Simmons. I, Karen Ulrey, will my way with the boys to Mary Coats. We, the Class of I953, will some peace and quiet to our teachers, who patiently endured our Ioquacious class for four long years.
