Student Body to Hect New Officers student leadership here at LIFE is about to receive its regular semester surge of new leadership blood. The trans- fusion will come Friday, January 13 for Day school, and the following week for Night , as Student Body leaders aro chosen at special election assemblies. A total of twenty-two students have been selected as candidates for Student Body offices and will be presented to the Student Body electorate for its mer- ited decision. Voting will be done on a new form of ballot, this .vear showing the pictures of the candidates, as well as listing his home town. The winners will become the Student leaders for the upcoming Spring semes ter. Among their first duties will be to plan and present a luncheon in honor of the Spring semester class officers who com- prise the Student Councils. In addition to the regular chapel ser- vices and planning the officers are faced with the task of leading in the planning of the Annual School Picnic. This festive event is held each year in May and is the largest attended school function. The elections, then, plainly should be more than a popularity poll. The po- sitions of the new leaders, beside honor and respect, will be ones of leadership and duty. To them fall the responsibilities of being leaders spiritually, scholaistically, and socially. 72
