Qwan 9ong SwanSong is a term used for a last outburst of energy, based on the oncient belief that just before its death the swan, unable to sing all its life, utters one melodious song, in this case, I am the swan! The Carry On has gone to the press and I cannot repress the song that comes to my lips. Yes, it has been a lot of hard work . . . but when I think of the Ideals of the college which the Carry On portrays for lasting retrospection, this is the least I can do to help uphold these Ideals. Many thanks to our cooperative staff and to others not on the staff who helped put this book together. They really worked hard. But as you traveled upwards it seemed to straighten out and you got to the top thinking it wasn ' t such a hard road after all? Such has been my experience in working on the annual. It has been lots of fun as well as hard work, but very rewarding. I wish to give a big thank you to each member of the staff for their hard work and coop- eration.
