School lli Lights HALLO WEEN CARNIVAL Goblins, Ghosts, Witches, and all that goes with a Halloween Carnival could be found snooping from every corner of the high school auditorium on October 50, 1951. The activity began at 8:00 o'clock with a pie walk. This event created quite a diversion, and from it the school realized a nice sum. Each teacher sponsored a different booth, as follows: Fortune Telling ...................,.........,.................................,................ Miss Sara Puckett and Mr. Sam Wheeler, realizing that no one recognizes Halloween without peanuts, popcorn, candies and drinks, sold all these with the assistance of Doris junkin and Royce Shelton. The item on the program was the progressive cake, a beautiful, white cake baked by Mrs. Anderson Youngblood. The final count was 326.55 on the cake plus proceeds from other activities for a total of 326746. CHRISTMAS PAGEANT Under the direction of Mr. Byron Davis, a pageant by the junior Class portraying the Birth of Christ, was presented in the High School Auditorium on Tuesday night, December 18, 1951. It was very beautiful, realistic, and enjoyed by a large crowd. A special feature of the program was music and songs by Miss Elmore's Elementary Music Class.
