R. Brock, our faithful superintendent of Liberty's school system. Through these years he has constantly striven to make our school one of Missouri's best, and his positions in state associations of teaching provide ample testimony to his success. Indeed he has been loyal to the highest traditions of Liberty High School. His extensive cooperation with the student body, his cognizance of the vital role which its opinions and attitudes play in the drama of youth education, make us proud to here gratefully acknowledge the service of our superintendent, Mr. Raymond R. Brock. 6

It's not the school, but the principal of the thing. If there is truth as well as humor in that, the good ship Liberty High is truly privileged to have at its helm a friendly, sincere, genuinely likable man like James A. Painter. 7
