This all important job of keeping our vital sea lanes open falls not only on the carrier, but also on the other members of the team that make up an antisubmarine carrier task group. This team is made up of destroyers, SQF Sentinel aircraft and helicopters. Every member of the team is capable of the hunt as well as the kill. With the Leyte as the flagship calling the plays, the t6a111.aCtS together as a highly eo-ordinated task group presenting a formid- able deterrent against any potential aggressor submarines. The Leyte is ready to accomplish the primary mission of the Navyg to deny the enemy the effective use of its submarines.
