Wildcats in Homecoming Victory Trying to make in 3-in-a row the Mighty Team attempted to spoil Lor- etto's homecoming, but lost a heart- breaker in very cold windy weather 6- 0. LHS was now to take the field against the eventual State Champs Town Creek. The Golden Bears fought hard, but were plainly beaten by a better club 16-32. Randy Hum - Defensive Halfback Rickey Bryan - Middle Linebacker The final home game was against W. Limestone. The Seniors savored a 33-3 victory. Wilson was now the last game via postponement due to the rain. The Weather cooperated no better this time as rain drenched everything. Nevertheless, the Bears left the swamped gridiron winners for the last time during the 75 sea- son with a 34-0 triumph. This gave the Golden Bears a 5-5 breakeven season. Determined to turn things around, the next gridiron battle would take place on Clements’ home field. This proved to be the most exciting game of the season, culminating in a winning field goal from the toe of Terry Alexander in triple over- time. The final reading was 23-20. LHS now had a home game against T. M. Rogers. The Bears displayed superb defense limiting the Pirates to minus 11 yds. rushing. The offense was also on track as the Bears won 19-0.
