Bears Win in Triple Overtime The Golden Bears kicked off the season against Brooks at Raymond McMeans Stadium. Lexington had opportunities to win, but never did pull it off, losing 6-13. Smith scores on extra point conversion. 21 Springer turns around right end. Seniors at Homecoming. Bear defense wraps up W. Limestone 33-3. Jeff Hanson - Guard Ronny Smith - Tackle Ranee Killen - Wide Receiver at Clements The next scheduled game was rained out, so that left LCHS as the next opponent. The Bears started off fast, but had some execution problems. Terry Alexander - Middle Guard The defense played an outstanding game, led by Ricky Bryan with 23 tackles. The team still had a few bugs to work out, and lost 20-0. LHS Pigs- kin Paraders were now back home to get on the winning track. Their victim in the Homecoming bout was Waynes- boro. The Bears won in a 49-12 romp. With a victory under their belts, the Bears now travelled to unbeaten Hat- ton. The LHS group kept within strik- ing distance the first half, and trailed by only 8 pts. But Hatton lit the score- board the 2nd half. The final score was Hatton 30 - LHS 8. Coach Brannon gives Rickey defensive instruc- tions. Ronald pulls a Wildcat out of the action. Mighty Golden Bears rush on for homecoming win. 25 Head Coach Toner looks on from sideline.
