To one we admire . 4 HERE MISS CRESSMAN explains the functions of the slide rule in one of her optional classes. ln fond memory, we dedicate our Lorf' to a devoted friend and teacher, Miss Esther Cressman. As one of our most revered and beloved faculty members, she has won a perma- nent place in the hearts of her former and present students. In addition to her school work Miss Cressman has also taken an interest in community affairs and is an active member of her church. ln her many years of service to our school she has participated also as a class adviser and an adviser to the school press. Although her daily schedule is a busy one, Miss Cressman often remains after school to give students further help. To increase the scope of those who enjoy mathematics, she has initiated slide rule and graph classes after school. The stu- dents of these classes always appreciate very much her deep interest in their behalf. As a result of her untiring efforts in stressing speed and accuracy, our Mathematics Department has achieved high standards. The 1957 Lore pays tribute to Miss Cressman for her aid in establishing our foundations for the future. WORKING WITH ceramics is one of Miss Cress- man's many outside interests. On the table she exhibits several pieces of her handiwork. SUCCESSFUL AS an amateur gardener with both trees and Bowers, Miss Cressman shows a senior her beautiful dogwood tree.
