You have learned, played and grown up with boys and girls of many different faiths. In the give and take of growing up together, you have learned the real meaning of brotherhood. You have become friends with those of all faiths. Only the public school can serve this great end. We do not find the whole of ourselves until our inner reality possesses those spiritual forces which are greater than ourselves. We need this inner reality to face life's challenges and to live the abundant life. Faith, hope, and love are still the abiding realities. Growth is one of the striking notes of our religious faiths. To the graduates of this 1955 class, continue your growth spiritually, and develop your capacity to think straight, to come to sound conclusions, and to work constructively with other people. ln this nation, it is the individual that counts, and the in- dividual is master of his own destiny. In our school life we must continue to practice the ideals of brotherhood if we wish to achieve a real democracy. It is important that students and faculty show respect for the importance and worth of each individual-irrespective of race, creed, or color.
