The class OT '49 had many boys who Took parT in sporTs, and who were also members OT The VarsiTy Teams. The Time had come To order our class rings, haTs, pennanTs and pins, and choose our class colors, which were Maroon and Gold. The day ThaT we had all looked forward To Tinally arrived, our Junior Prom. Many weeks had been spenT in geTTing our decoraTions ready. The Theme which we used was The 49ers. We had one OT The mosT successTul proms ever To be given in The high school. Time rolled On, and back To L.l-l.S. we marched, as digniTied Seniors. This year we elecTed The Tollowing OTTicers: PresidenT, Mike BaTTisTag Vice-PresidenT, BeTTy Bigelow: SecreTary, Wanda Wise, Treasurer, Clyde Shores. Now we are eagerly anTicipaTing our Class Play, Senior Day, COmmencemenT and The Dinner-Dance. TO our advisors, Miss Lack, Mr. LonTz, and Mr. Engle, we wish To express our Thanks and appreciaTion Tor our success. We shall be leaving l..l-l.S. in The very near TuTure, and going TorTh inTO The cOmmuniTy as good ciTizens. We shall never TOrgeT The DemOcraTic spiriT OT insTruc- Tion in our schools. BUT mosT OT all, we have gained new Triends and a world OT experience, which we shall never TorgeT. We carry wiTh us The saTisTacTiOn OT having realized ThaT we have done our besT in upholding The sTandards OT our school.
