As we, fhe class of '46, being fhe firsl' posf-war graduafing class, look back fhrough fhe pages of our book, we find a very inferesfing class hisfory. lf all sfarfed long ago when we enfered fhe high school, As Sophomores, almosf all of us had fhe feeling fhaf we were separafecl from each ofher, as differenf courses and buildings were chosen. As fime wenf on, we soon learned differenfly because our class worked fogefher and when work was fo be done, we all pifched in fogefher. The officers of fhe year were Presidenf, Jack Miller: Vice-Presi- denf, Geneva Gross: Secrefary, Zola Robinson, and Treasurer, Marvin Pefers. The nexf chapfer lChapfer Ill consisfed of our class in our Junior year. As we read qbouf fhis chapfer, we find fhaf fhis was a very busy as well as a prosperous year. We gof under way by elecf- ing fhe following officers: Presidenf, Marvin Pefersq Vice-Presidenf, Hope Wagner: Secrefary, Zola Robinson, and Treasurer, Jack Miller. During fhis year we selecfed firsf, our class colors, red and whife: fhen, our all imporfanf class rings. We were looking forward wifh greaf enfhusiasm for fhe oncoming Junior Prom. We selecfed a class banner which was displayed for fhe firsf fime af fhe suc- cessful Prom. This banner was dedicafed fo fhe high school in remembrance of fhe Class of '46. Togefher wifh fhe social acfivifies and sporfs evenfs, fhese all played fheir parfs in making up a very successful year. 2 'F- v rs Our fhird chapfer, which is nof fhe lasf, consisfeal of our fhird year in dear old L.H.S. As we read fhis chapfer we feel even more confi- denf now fhaf our class was a leader in fhe school. Yes, how we were finally upperclassmen, and our heads were resfing in fhe clouds: buf when we saw fhe rnid-year go by many of us were sfarfing 'fo feel a liffle regrefful because nexf year we will nof receive fhe pleasures from fhe Sophomore Parfy, fhe Junior Prom, Senior Day, and Commencemenf as we have fhese pasf years. Our class advisers who worked wifh us and will- ingly gave us 'lheir fime deserve fo be credifed also. Wifhouf fhem fhe Class of '46 would have cerfainly never succeeded as well as we did. So fo Mr. Hauser, Mr. Brassingfon, Mr, Benfsel, Miss McCauley and Miss Heverly we say, Thank you for whaf all you have done for our class fhrough- ouf our high school ears. This year our officers were Presidenf, Marvin Pefersg Vice-Presidenf, Hope Wagner: Secrefary, Zola Robinson, and Treasurer, Roberf Clark. We felf mighfy proud when we were exchanging Class Picfures, and especially when we marched down fhe aisle on Senior Day and Commencemenf. As we previously sfafed fhis is nof our lasf chap- fer: as you know, we will have a Ten Year Reunion: so, in parfing, we say Good-Bye fo L. H. S. and fhe faculfy, and we hope fo see you fhere. .
