IOYCE WERTZ ,KENNETH BARBER campus. Everyone worked hard preparing for the climax of our Iunior year, the Iunior prom. We all felt our efforts were well ref warded as we entered the beautifully dec- orated gym. As a class, we were very active in the affairs of the community. Our class set the record for many salvage collections and also for the selling of war stamps at school. We resolved to continue these records. On September 7, l943, we began the last epoch of our high school career. The fol- lowing class officers were elected: Presi- dent, Richard Reiserg Vice President, Peggy Davis: Secretary, Ioyce Wertzp Treasurer, Kenneth Barber. Mr. Hufford took the place of our class advisor, Mr. Snyder, who left us to join the Navy. We now began looking forward to our privileges as Seniors. We elected our Lore Staff, which began func- tioning immediately. We produced our class play, Kathleen , which was quite. a success. Then came our big events-Senior Day, the Prom, Commencement, and the Senior Dinner Dance. The memories of these great days will never be forgotten, and now it is with a feeling of regret, but also great pride, that we leave old L. H. S. Peggy and Dick
