he Tiger staff presents herein The ' 54 Story. As you J. read further you will find the contents are a play- back, presented in such a way as to help you recall the important things and the good times of this school year. The directors of The ' 54 Story are the faculty members plus your student leaders. The seniors in a sense are the star actors. But the juniors, sophomores, and frosh made a wonderful supporting cast. This year ' s productions started way hack last September with classes, football games, pep cons, etc. Soon there were dances and school elections, followed by basketball season. May Day came and went, and then as a climax to the story was gradua- tion for the class of ' 54. It ' s been a successful year, and the members of the Tiger staff, as scriptwriters for The ' 54 Story, hope you will get much pleasure from this yearbook.

As June drew near, the illustrious stars of The ' 54 Story made ready for their final appearance at Lewis and Clark . . . Baccalaureate and Graduation. Since these 400 made their debut as juvenile actors in Septem- ber, 1951, many activities and events have highlighted their careers. They have picked up polish in more ways than one. From Geraldine Acheson, who has been at Leiuis and Clark her entire four years, to a newcomer, Marilyn Zehring, who joined the group in September, 1953, the alphabet, the curriculum, and the activities schedule have been pretty thoroughly covered.
