W, R. Wheeler, who is the very capable band director of the Lobo Band, usually di re c t s the band to victory in all the contests they enter. It seems like the band is busy all the time working on the m a r c h in g formations for the half-time activities during the football season, practicing for the concerts they presented, and of course, the leg-tiring exhibit of marching in the many parades. Again the band marched in the Battle of Flowers in San Antonio, the Brownfield Festi- val, Oil Progress Pa rade, and for the seventh consecutive time won the sweepstakes awa rd, - I .
