Sep 3 Sept 18 0 1 C Oc C Oc Nov Nov Dec Dec an an Fe e Feb Fe Mar Mar ar Apr Apr A r May May 16 SCHOOL CALENDAR BY Helen Jensen ' School began w1th 21 pupils enrolled Freshman Initiated The students have a representative' government for the first time when they elected representatives to the student council The seniors decided to wear gray gowns They also chose the class colors rose and white and the class flower pink carnation The Journalism class publashed the first issue of the school paper, The Blue and YR hite Star The T1gerettes elected new cheerleaders They are Jean Ekberg and Erma Jean Donn and an alternate cheerleader, Nerna Alleman They also elected the followmg officers President Jean Ekberg Sec retary, Darlene Touslee and Treasurer, Mary Schroeder Darrell Touslee our former classmate and friend passed away at the Goodland Hospital as a result of mguries he received in a car acc1dent October 21 The Junior class presented the play, ' A Pair of Country Kids' as the High School Aud1tor1um N1ght School was held Monday mght the f1rst day of National Educa tion V eek A Thanksgivmg chapel was held today Star Staff decided to edxt school annual this year The name of it is The T1ger The h1gh school and grades presented a Christmas program Friday, tn the H1gh School Auditorium The high school presented a pageant 'In Toyland Boys w1n Consolation Tournament at Rexford Girls beat Brewster Boys beat Wmona A permanent staff was elected for the Blue and White Star Bob Ekberg heads the staff as editor wlth two assistant Helen Jensen and Duane Dawes Duane Dawes was elected business manager, Lloyd Hamme crrculation manager and Robert Schroeder publication rrarager The Juniors received their class rings The rings are of yellow gold with a black enamel crest showing ' L' mounted On the sides there is a 4 and a 7 to mdicate the graduation year The Sen1ors recelved their proofs of their graduatlon pictures At last, the school received the Sound Projector for which they razsed funds at last year s carnival First and second team Tigers beat Monuments first and second team ln basketball The Tigerettes gave the Tlgers and coaches abuffet supper Basketball season ended Iumors and Seniors sponsored carnival Boys began Track Entered League, one act play contest at Menlo Entered Track Meet at Grinnell Junior and Senior Banquet Commencement at 8 O0 P M May 17, Last day of school 8: picnic ta ' - ct..
