VICE PRINCIPAL — JOHN F. JOYCE It is with particular respect and affection that | salute the Class of 1970, the !00th class to be graduated from Leominster High School and the worthy representative of the significant milestone in a long tradition. Two years ago when | was serving as Acting Principal, | learned to respect your integrity, your maturity, your reasoned convictions, and your loyal- ty. You helped so much to make my tenure in the front office a rewarding and happy experience that | am everlastingly gratetul. During your junior and senior years | have ad- mired in you that normal youthtul disclination to conform blindly and passively to tradition, and | have applauded the offsetting dynamic tendency you have had toward constructive change and im- provement based on solid values. Your thinking, your activity have been positive, rooted in good common sense, and appropriately unconventional. Keep on asking questions, helping to find answers, issuing the challenges, generating that enthusiasm that is so characteristic of your Class and your generation. My fondest wishes attend you always wherever the myriad paths of life may lead you. DIRECTOR OF TRADE — EMILE JOHNSON Congratulations: You have spent four busy years here at the Trade High School pursuing your chosen career. Many of you have performed on the highest level. Some have not worked as hard and as diligently as you could have. | sincerely hope that each one of you will ‘'roll up your sleeves'' and give of your best. Industry is looking for energetic young men to advance in this highly techni- cal age in which we are living. Give an honest hour's work so that you may reflect your training to your superiors. Best wishes, Emile S. Johnson Director
