Machine Shop The skills of tool and die molding and its related fundamentals were offered in the machine shop under the direction of Mr. Algedio Membrino. The students not only learned the principles of tool and mold building but actually had the opportunity to put their knowledge to work.

Auto Mechanics The automotive shop, supervised by Mr. Gilbert, was equipped to analyze and repair all troubles in any make, model, and year vehicle manufactured anywhere in the world. Actual repairs were made on registered vehicles owned by the students and teachers in the school. In the related class, conducted by Mr. Howard Hatch, instructional mate- rial was covered relating to the actual work in the shop. This course covered the operation of various tools and the basic techniques of repair. The main idea was to attain an understanding of the science related to automotive work. 27

ESE at RES HYDRAULIC DEPT. Electronics and Hydraulics The electronic and hydraulic department of the trade school conducted a four-year course supervised by Mr. Moryl. The freshmen and sophomores were introduced to the fundamentals and application of the basic direct and alternating current theory. The juniors learned basic electronics and applied their knowledge to circuitry while the seniors summarized their previous three years’ work and studied hydrau- lics. In the related class, conducted by Mr. Felice delGuidice, the theory which was applied in the shop was thoroughly explained. 29
