Science Knowledge of the sciences is both useful and profitable in our modern society. The goal of the department is to help the students develop an appreciation and understanding of the natural and chemical sciences by a process of study and inquiry. Classes make intense use of the modern laboratory equipment offered by the school. Mr. Marvin Kendall is the department chairman. 23

The purpose of the home economics classes taught by Miss Louise Cavanaugh is to teach girls how to cook and sew and how to perform the duties that will be required of them as homemakers. Public Speaking In Mrs. Adams’ public speaking classes, the stu- dents are taught to speak fluently and clearly. They become acquainted with the art of speaking before large groups. This class offers both advantage and enjoyment to the student body of Leominster High School.
