ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL JOHN F. JOYCE To many students of Leominster High School, the office of John F. Joyce represents both guidance and friendship. Whether the problems they bring with them are personal or academic, they have always found that Mr. Joyce listens with deep insight. Besides his many administrative duties as assistant principal, Mr. Joyce has taken upon himself such duties as the advising of the Senior Class play and the presiding over the Student Cabinet. Over the course of time, the graduating class of 1966 will fondly remember John Joyce, friend and advisor. PRINCIPAL CHARLES D. BIRD The chief executive of Leominster Senior High School is Mr. Charles D. Bird. With a firm hand, he has taken over the very important job of con- tinuing to insure a fine educational program for Leominster High students. He has assumed this responsibility with a keen understanding of adoles- cent problems. When a student takes his troubles to Mr. Bird, he is assured of an attentive audience. Our principal is a fair disciplinarian and remains unbiased in his decisions. Unfortunately, our class will enjoy his leadership for only one year. Nevertheless, the senior class wishes Mr. Bird the best of luck and hopes that other classes for years to come will have the privilege of his guidance.

PRINCIPAL EMILE S$. JOHNSON Charged with the administrative chores and personal guidance of the Leominster Trade High School is Principal Emile S. Johnson. In this highly technical age when voca- tional education is increasingly more important, Mr. John- son realizes the need to continually expand and reorganize the vocational program. As the first steps in this direction, he has initiated evening courses at the trade school and a work-study program which enables boys to learn while they work and earn enough money to remain in school. With such aggressive programs, the future years of the trade departments promise to be as productive as the past eleven years under Mr. Johnson’s leadership.
