Unc O0 S Sk essaqe We have graduated many fine classes from Leominster High School. We were perhaps proud of each of them for a different reason. Although every fine class makes a good scholastic record, some classes have more than their share of people who do un usually well in their academic work. Some classes produce unforgettable athletes or undefeated teams that make local sports history. Some classes display more dramatic talent than usual. For all of these specialties, be- yond the usual expected performance of duty, we remember our graduates. This year’s class commends itself in its own way to our warm remembrance. You began your senior year in an overcrowded building. You had to adjust in your senior year to the new, longer school day. Some of the pleasant things of former years like weekly assemblies, Thursday morning sings, rallies every Friday in the assembly hall— these you had to forego because of circumstances beyond anyone's control. Yet you plunged in and did your daily work, continued all worthwhile class activities, and refrained from spoiling the year with individual or organized complaints about things you were bright enough to realize could not be reme- died. We salute you as being the kind of people meant in a line of verse we always agreed with: ‘The man worth- while is the man who can smile when everything goes dead wrong.” ‘Take the same attitude throughout your lives to- ward the pin-pricks of inconvenience and concentrate your energies on bigger things. endear ty, Focharcoki
