1927 The Leoenine 11927 iirhing wright Smiith, 1341.5 Principal It is seldom that a. school is fortunate enough to have as principal a man who combines the seemingly paradoxical qualities of liberalism and conservatism. Yet in Irving W'right Smith. Leominster High has such a. man. He has the rare ability of being a friend of his pupils and at the same time commanding their respect. He takes an interest in all student activities, and materially aids their development by his helpful advice and suggestions. He has an intelligent understanding of the student viewpoint and yet realizes the necessity of occasionally imposing a lnaturer judgment upon youthful impetuosity. May his future pupils appreciate Mr. Smith as friend, advisor, and principal, as much as have we, his pupils of 1927. 7
