THE EAGLE 1970-7 1 SCHOOL LENAPAH, OKLAHOMA FOREWORD Together we have experienced and shared our joys in the class rooms, hall ways and athletic events. But as we look back, our parting leaves us with many happy moments, for life does have its ways of separating us from our fondest memories. We hope as you traverse through the pages of this annual it will create a nostalgia not of disappointment but of many happy hours spent at Lenapah High School. The theme of this year's Prom was Psychedelic Spring. The theme was carried out with decorations of butterflies, daisies, flowers and assorted bugs on a black background. The ceiling was lowered by the use of various colored streamers and bright colored balls were hung from the ceiling. The music was provided by Bill and the Wonders from Bartlesville, Oklahoma. FAVORITES 34 STACY DAVIS EVA SHUFELDT ANNUAL QUEEN CANDIDATES Each year the annual queen candidates enter into fund raising activities to finance the school annual. They devote many hours after school, week-ends, and any holiday that might fall in the contest period to this one purpose. This year's candidates were no different. Each one worked extremely hard and struggled to earn more money than any of the other candidates to become Annual Queen 1970-71. It is impossible for all four candidates to be the annual queen, although they all might have worked equally hard. All four candidates for 1970-71 deserve the thanks of the annual staff as well as the rest of the student body; for only through their efforts, are we able to present this annual to you. 35 CAROL REXWINKLE HOMECOMING QUEEN SUSAN HALL... a brown haired, green eyed.
