all is huge success What is the outcome when a formal dance is changed to semi-formal attire, a new name is chosen and no special theme is used? The whole revolution spelled out a smash- ing success for Lemoore High with the debut of their first semi-formal Christmas Ball. Over 100 couples were present making the attendance the largest ever at the annual dance known as the Winter Formal. Couples danced amidst decorations of green, red, and white, to the music of the Porterville Stage Band. Lighted by a color wheel, a large white Christmas tree decorated with red bows and candy canes was located in the middle of the dance floor. Chaperones were Mr. and Mrs. Luthor Whitten, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Bellman and Mrs. Dolores Short. Ianey Hoffman was chairman of the Christmas Ball committee which included Karen Reasoner, Chris Orsa- ba, Janice Quintel, Terrie Cuibson, Ian Jordan, Kaye War- ren, Nancy Meyer, and Marilyn Billingsly.
