We Dedlcofe It is with greit pleisurc thit we the cliss of 1960 present the dedicatee of our Ycir Book Mr Dallas E Heffner Upon graduating from Kutztown High School in 1943 he enlisted and served in the US Naxy ifter which he entered Kutztown State Teachers College Here he ob tuned 1 BS in Ed degree He also received an MA degree in English and reading from Lehigh University Mr Heffner stirted his tciching cireer in Lehighton in 1949 His first year of tciching consisted of seventh ind eighth gr ide English but in the second year he wis tr insferred to elexenth gr ide In 1953 Mr Heffner became Varsity baseball coach He has also served as assist int basketbill football and baseball coach improve his marks by improving his reading ability He is the idviser of the Speech Club ind ilso helps to direct their plays His hobbies ire of 1 gre it w iriition ringing from reading HiFi and sports to model trains ind ships Mr Heffner is also Well known for his Little Willy stories With sincere appreciation for all he his contributed to L H S We the class of 1960 would like to wish Mr Heffner the very best of success and happiness in whatever he iniy attempt to do 'Whunfw M11 DALLAS E HEFFNER HI I U I I I I I U .
