Class of 59 on March 2 1956 These extra activities helped us to get better acquainted with our classmates In September 1956 we entered Lehigh ton High School for the second lap of our journey toward a well rounded educa tion We were now Sophomores under the direction of Mr Ginder The school auditorium was the site of our next meeting On September 16 we picked new class officers Our new staff consisted of Norann Bishwaty President Louis Gastagnola Vrce Presrdent Lynn Shupp Secretary erry German Treasurer Dolores Gannon Historian That year we entered the Hallowe en Parade as Rock n Rollers On March 4 1957 we had a Shamrock Hop which was a big success September 1957 found the class of 59 on its third lap with probably our biggest task to complete Many things had to be done in order to get us ready to complete our final year On October 3 1957 we got together for the first time as un1ors and elected the following people as class officers Louis Gastagnola President Ronald Ketchledge Vzce Presrdent Elaine Smith Secretary Dolores Gannon Treasurer Elva James Historian Our class advisor was Mr Diehl The night of February 6 1958 found us at LaRose s Skating Rink where we helo a skating party which was enjoyed by everyone Gur class play which was entitled Great Caesars Ghost was gixen on March 27 1958 The YearBook with the expert assistance of Mr Diehl was print d We chose green and white as our class colors and a carnat1on as our flower United we stand divided we fall was chosen as our class motto Everyone had a great time at the Junior Senior Prom which was held on May 2 1958 We now are on the final lap of our journey We began school in September 1958 with a class consisting of 153 boys and girls We elected the following officers to guide us to Graduation Harold Buck President Elva ames V1cePres1dent Garole Balliet Secretarv Donna Haggerty Treasurer On anuary 29 1959 we held our Senior Glass Play which was entitled Stranger in the Night With the superb acting of the cast the play was a big success March 19 1959 found us at LaRose s Skating Rink for a skating party I May the annual Junior Senior Prom was e une 11 1959 Well we have finally reached the end of our Journey Today we graduated Many students will con t1nue their education while others wi find a place in life Whatever the out come will be I know the boys and gir s of the Glass of 59 will be glad t at they were part of it In closing I wish all the best of luck in the future in what ever you may do Merle I-Iunsicker Hrstonarz 59 1 - - a ' ' SL 'V Q5 ' 7 . , . 1 f f .
