Moving In — Dreadful Anticipation The feeling is always the same. As soon as you see the signs for Bethlehem, the muscles in your stomach begin to tighten. Anticipation — yet dread. Crossing the bridge, you wonder if this year will be any better than last, or if it ' s the first year, you wonder if you ' ll survive. Two more blocks . . . then, there are 4,000 others just like you, all running up and down hills and stairs with stereos, refrigerators, TVs, suitcases and everything else necessary for the Lehigh lifestyle. It ' s a madhouse. You hate it (the unpacking), but you love it (seeing all your old and new friends); it ' s the best and worst of Lehigh all at once. And a fitting beginning to a year guaranteed to be full of ecstatic and traumatic ups and downs. 21
