Jenkins, Consists of forty-one members. This organization made a Hnc showing in the Vocal Concert in March as wcll as taking part in thc various school activities. Bates, Aiken, Davis, Ashman, J. Jackson, Miller, Ward, Newhouse, Roose, Carter, M. Fiscus, Crothers, Sunderman, M. McCormick, White, Cutchall. Row 3-Gwynne, Boston, Tullis, V. Bates, Cross, J. McCormick, Girard, Gibson, R. Guchemand, Davis, Sher- wood, Justice, Kornbau, A. Fiscus, Rance. Each year the band seems to pass out of public eye once football season is ended. But the band played on - every fourth period the band members prac- ticed for the many assemblies in which they took part and for the Band Concert on April 21. Thirty-eight boys, including nine letter men reported for the first practice on August 21, 1947. The football season got under way under the guidance of Coaches Vincent Cooper and Bud Dean. The team fought hard with a determination to wing how- ever, was defeated in eight out of nine games. The 1947 lettermen were Koontz, Driscoll, Entriken, Taylor, Briden, Dejane. Alexander, Stokes, Weikart, Stumpo, Stoffer, Exten. Mercure, Citino. Sullivan. Duco, Morrow, Davis. Kennedy. Davis. The five boys who will not be coming back next season are these Seniors: Exten, Dc-Jane. Koontz.
