The genfofzs TOMMY WRIGHT 3 years Football, L Club. Nickname: Big Torn . Ambit- ion: To work for Uncle Sam in the Air Force and live happily ever after in Germany. His favor- ite pastime is hunting and fish- ing. We deeply regretted Tommy' wi hdrawaltrom st-houlearly in the second semester. He was a real asset to our class. MR. ROBERT COVINGTON One of the loyal friends of our class. Director of Senior Play. Though not directly connected with our group, he was of great help and inspiration in our play, as wellas many other activities. Ambition: To be a Baptist min- ister. Nickname: The Parson. MISS BEATRICE JARNAGIN SeniorClassSponsor. MissJarn- agin came to us in the second semester and has really made up forlost time. She can do most anything she sets out to do. She came to us from Florida. The class will be forever grateful for her capable assistance which we so badly needed. MR. JACK BEST SeniorClassSponsor. Red was graduated from Southwestern Louisiana. His home is Jasper, Alabama. Because of his youth, Mr. Best seems more like one of us than a teacher. He also holds down anotherjob, and quite capably. That job is assistant coach. His straiht-from-college ideas have greatly aided us in our varied projects. BONNIE GRIFFIN Senior Mascot. This charming young lass lives in a green house on Norman Drive, along with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Griffin and younger brother, Lew. A pupil of Mrs. Edward Hurst. Her ambition is to be a movie star. She can usually be found playing dolls, dress-up, or danc- ing. She has brown curls and hazle eyes. TOM COLLINS, III Buddy captured our vote for Sen- ior Mascot the minute we set eyes on him. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Tom Collins, II, A pupil of Mrs. Hurst, he is a great favor- ite among his school mates. As for his ambition, Buddy votes a split ticket. We were told that his preferences were preaching and Ford selling. He likes to play cowboy, football, and to go fish- ingwithGrandaddyCollins. With his red hair, freckles, and blue eyes, Buddy will go far up the ladder of success. S F 24' Q :XXX X .l XJ ,Y if WN g1,..,,j .I 43' iii 'Q I .3
