A continuing record of outstanding scholarship, fine character, service, and
leadership is the requirement for membership in the National Honor Society. Students
must also have the recommendation of their teachers before receiving an invitation
to become a member ot this national honorary organization. A student has not
realized his aims and goals upon being inducted into the society but rather he is
given greater opportunity to further and broaden them. The purpose of the Na-
tional Honor Society is to recognize those students who, during their high school
career, show themselves to possess fine character, high scholastic standards, the de-
sire to serve, and the ability to lead, in the hope that this recognition will encourage
their continued success and constant improvement.
