The Lettermen's Club of Lebanon High School is composed of all those boys who
have earned a varsity "L" in one of the three maior sports. Although not too active
this year, the club was instrumental in seeing that the new rooks learned how to act
as first year students and were taught to respect certain traditions of Lebanon High.
All new lettermen were initiated into the club at a spring meeting. The new initiates
included the boys who earned their first letter during the following sport seasons: Base-
ball, i944, football, 1944, basketball, i944-45, baseball, l945. A quite entertaining
evening was held, at the expense of neophyte members, but the boys feel that they
are now true-blue lettermen and are looking forward to next year when they can
welcome other new lettermen.
The officers of the Lettermen's Club for the year i944-45 were as follows, Presi-
dent, Bill Peden, vice-president, Tony Solberg, secretary, Denny Marvin, treasurer,
Dick Clarke- sergeant-at-arms Don Ellis- advisor Bud Page.

The Home Economics Club enjoyed a very successful year under the able advisor-
shfp of our new instructor, Mrs. Parham.
The meetings were held during the noon hour, every two weeks. At the first
meeting of the year the following officers were elected: Joan Voegelein, president,
Betty Southwick, vice-president, Wanda Nichols, secretary, Helen Crockett, treasurer,
Marjorie Kimble, historian, Joanne Warner, custodian, and 'Inez Powell accompanist.
The club had a very colorful style show this year including 81 girls, who made and
modeled their clothes. The clothes were play suits, spring frocks, dressy dresses, school
dresses and suits. After the show the home economics building had open house for
the mothers so they might see the equipment and gain a better understanding of what
their daughters are doing.
The annual initiation was held for the new members. There was a large group
of new members initiated by effective candlelight. There will be only a few graduating
seniors from the club this year.
After the spring concert the club served refreshments to members of the band and

The Pep Club was organized this year under the supervision of the advisor, Mrs.
Morrison. At a meeting held at the first of the school year, the club elected the follow-
ing officers: President, Norma Schliske, vice-president, Nadine Richards, secretary,
Beverly Keebler, treasurer Carlyne Sorseth.
The club has been very active throughout the year. Its members, consisting en- A
tirely of girls, have promoted pep at all the athletic events by decorating goal posts,
learning new yells, planning pep assemblies, and attending all home games.
These girls were present at all the games and did much to promote pep among the
students. They also had charge of many of the pep assemblies. The yell leaders for
this year were: Betty Irvine, Ruth Schneider, Jean Beach, and Helen Smyth.
The Pep Club was very fortunoate td have four very capable yell leaders this year.
Betty is a senior and has been a yell leader since her sophomore year. She was N--
