With an initial nest egg of S250.00, the Bond and Stamp Committee has sold in
excess of 533,678 lissue valuel worth of bonds and stamps during the 1944-45 school
During the Sixth War Loan 518,378.00 in bonds and stamps were purchased, and 3
the student body voted to buy nine field ambulances for the Pacific area with this money. '
The goal set for the Seventh War Loan was S12,000.00, and as this goes to press 1,
the amount of purchases is 512,113.00 ll.
The students of Lebanon High School are to be congratulated for their excellent
record in stamp and bond purchases. The committee serving the students every Wednes-
day morning consists of Ruth Ford, Marian Pierce, Betty Irvine, and Mrs. Edith Smith.
The room salesmen who have been active in making the sales successful are: Don

C.A.P., organized December, 1941, has been an auxiliary branch of the United
States Army Air Forces since April 1943. This unit of seventy boys and girls in Lebanon
High School has been organized by Captain E. N. Brenner since March 1944.
Sergeant John Ball is the flight leader of the preLflight class. Sergeant Lee Wood
is in command ot the advanced aeronautics. Sergeant Max Miller has command over
the cadets of radio. Sergeant Ruth Kimble is flight leader for the all-girl unit. Sergeant
'Ball is also the drill master. -
These cadets study meteorology, air navigation, air rules and reguations, military
drill, and all pre-flight courses.
This squadron maintains a crash crew, communications unit, search and rescue
squad, and a ski patrol.
During the year the squadron has enjoyed recreational as well as instructional
meetings. Throughout the year they have enioyed a Hallowe'en dance, Christmas
dance, St. Patrick's Day dance, a skating party and a picnic. They also enioyed a
paper chase made by the sergeants in connection with air navigation. The boys en-
1 yed a week-end ski trip in connection with the Army and Lebanon Ski Patrol.
