The Junior High Glee is a new organization of the music department this year. lts
twenty-two members compose an enthusiastic chorus. The group has appeared at
Parent-Teacher meetings, various churches and school functions during the year.
Eloise Groves is the accompanist and the chorus is directed by Mrs. Ferris Kirk- K
The Junior Chorus is a new organization ot the music department this year. The
group is composed of twenty-two members made up for the most part of girls. At the
start of the year there were several boys in the group but none ot them seemed able
to stand up under the class. That is, none of them except one. This one boy, Rocky
Gill, stayed with the chorus the entire year. Q I,
Next year it is hoped that the Junior Chorus will be composed of a more nearly 'V
balanced group of boys and girls. X
The Junior Chorus participated in many doings this year, They performed in the
Christmas program, the spring concert, and the May Day program here at school, and Xl
in the Presbyterian and the Christian churches, and for a P.T.A. meeting outside of l
The Junior Chorus was directed this year by Mrs. Kirkpatrick and their piano ac-
companist was Eloise Groves.

atc kg 'X The Junior Band is made up of exceptionally well balanced variety of instruments
H 4 , this year. The members have worked especially hard to get into the advanced band.
y ' nv Three former members of this group have been promoted to advanced band during
the year. The band is made up of twenty-three members including seven cornets, five
' clarinets, a saxophone, two French horns, two baritones, a trombone, a sousaphone,
and tour drums.
V sy X? The band members enioyed learning to march and are particularly proud of the
, 'Q 'X red and white uniforms they have worn for the first time this spring.
y i X 1 The two events ot this year in which the Junior Band took part were the Christmas
program and the spring concert at which they played with the beginner's bond and

The Mixed Chorus and Glee Club have had quite an eventful year. They have
enjoyed many successful performances.
Miss Barnum, director, Nancy Gleason, accompanist for the mixed chorus, and
.loan Voegelein, accompanist for the girl's glee club, all deserve much praise for their
hard work in the development of these two groups' musical abilities,
