WARRIOR - 1944
The school year just past saw the Lebanon I-Ii-Y Club en-
joy one of its most successful years since the founding of the
organization three years ago. Riding on the crest of a treas-
ury fund which was well over the S100 figure, the boys felt free
to carry on many projects that were of benefit both to the
club and the school.
Perhaps the outstanding project for this year was the car-
rying out of an idea to establish school dances on a more suc-
cessful basis through the medium of better music. In attain-
ing this end, the boys originated the idea of purchasing a
nickelodeon to be used for such purposes and in further carry-
ing out this idea, the club made a S100 contribution for the
purchasing of the music box. Assisted by' the school-board
and the Senior class, this project was completed and Lebanon
High School now has a fine jute box pouring forth provoking
rythms for all the students to enjoy.
Some of the other projects carried out by the club, in-
cluded an all-school dance which was a huge success, partici-
pation in Easter Sunrise Services, sending of delegates to a
regional conference at the Swan Island Shipyard in Portland,
the winning of a basketball tournament held between neigh-
boring clubs at Albany, and general service offered the school
during the year.
N The membership of the club numbered 24 this year, which
was the largesgt the group has been since its organization.
Officers were Iim Schindler, President, Cedric Wallace,
Vice-President, Bob Olds, Secretary, Dale Plagmann, Treasu-
rer, Iess Ingram, Chaplain, Lawrence Page, Adviser.

die Pesek, Bob Cafe, Bill Peden, Bud Daily, Ross McCormick,
