WARRIOR - 1944 6742141 clfiafozy After four years of joys, struggles, and friendships never to be for- gotten, the seniors of the class of '44 begin to feel a "tugging of the heart strings" toward the old times and a longing for an opportunity to Wear the green just once more. But the class of '44 realizes only too well that the memories of the past four years must end. Throughout the four years the class has been in school, many of its members have made definite outstanding contributions in the many activities. On the Lebanon Campus, in the fall of 1940, one hundred ten green freshmen appeared. During the first few Weeks of school the freshmen's time was very much occupied by getting acquainted and adapting themselves to high school life. The so-called "greenhorns" were duly initiated by the upper- classmen about the second month of school. The boys were compelled to dress as girls and the girls as boys, at an assembly conducted by the upperclassmen. Like the freshmen classes in the past, no year was complete with- out a party in the fall and a picnic to end their first year. In the fall of '41 our greenhorns came back as sophisticated sopho- mores. Members of the sophomore class took part in athletics, band, Hi-Y, Glee, Girl's League, and many other activities of the school. I During the middle of the year they Went to Albany on a skating party, Which was later followed by other classes. The junior class of '42, although hampered by war time difficul- ties, came through with ,its share in the fields of music and athletics. One of its members, Clinton Pearson, was selected as the left tackle in the Tri-County League All Star football eleven. They were very active in various school clubs with many mem- bers participating in the band, Hi-Y, Drama Club, and others. More- over, nearly every junior was a member of the newly introduced Victory Corps and did their share in the bond and stamp campaigns. The main event, being the junior-senior prom, displayed the theme of Arabian Nights. Louise I and her court of four princesses reigned over the evening's affairs. A I On September 21, 1943, the seniorstook up their books and entered the halls of Lebanon High School for their last but most successful year. ,
