The Harmon Hall Basket Ball team, which is composed entirely of memhers and
alumni of Lelwanon High School, made a most enviahle record during the season of
192627, winning fourteen out of fifteen games played. Their sole defeat came at
the hands of the L. B. Harrison Big Five of Cincinnati, and that hy only a single point
which was made on a foul shot after the game had ended. This team, each memher
heing a former star and "pet" of L. H. S., developed a wonderful offensive attack
marked hy a sure eye for the hasket, and an almost airftight defense. Each man seemed
adept at putting the hall through the hoop as is shown from the fact that in several
games played hy the Hall team, four of the five men on the floor got more than five
Their string of victories was amassed at the expense of the hest amateurs in southf
ern Ohio, most impressive victory prohahly being the defeat of the Norwood Baracas
in the last game of the regular season. The Baracas are the recognized city champs of
Cincinnati. They also trimmed the Jay Vv'hy Shamrocks, city champs of Dayton with
apparently little effort and whipped the hest that Middletown could offer in the form
of Mann's Whirlwiiids.
