This is one of the clubs in L. H, S. that is still in its infancy. However, it is
rapidly growing to be a club of great importance. Much of thc credit for the success
of the club is due to Mrs. Callon, our Home Economics teacher.
The Home Economics course was revised this year. The first year includes cooking
for the first semester and sewing for the second. The girls prepare daily lunches this
year which sell at minimum prices.
The second year of Home Economics includes the study of sanitation and Hygiene,
Home Nursing, House Planning, and Dietitics. The girls in this class have greatly en'
joyed the work and believe that it has been beneficial.
The Club held an Easter Sale of eggs and baskets. Un May the Twelfth, in the
High School Auditorium, a display of the year's work will be held. This display will
consist of sewing, Ideal Home Booklet, and canned fruits and jellies.

The musical comedy "Miss Cherry Blossom" was presented hy Lebanon High
School March 16. It was conceded hy all to he the hest operetta ever produced hy
the High School. A great deal of its success is due to the ahle directorship of Mrs.
Berry who worked untiringly to make it a success. The music was directed hy Prof.
Alfred Wzltkiins, and was accompanied hy Helen Hartshorn.
The parts were well selected. Dora Hall in the part of Cherry Blossom showed a
great conception of the role and interpreted the music heautifully. Nathan Fred in
the part of the young American in love with Cherry was a fortunate choice for the
part. His stage presence was exceptional and he carried the music well. Paul Dakin,
his friend, carried his part with credit and his ever pleasing voice was at its hest. The
part of Kokemo, the japanese Innkeeper was extremely well played hy Francis Drake
It was a heavy part, carrying all the comedy work, but he carried it with a spontaneity
and naturalness that could not have been equaled. Paul Harrold played well the part
of Togo the politician. The part of Jessica, an American girl was creditahly portrayed
hy Marjorie Bangham.
The Geisha girls' chorus was one of the most striking in the play. All in the cast
included 5 4 players.
