rr :J The "L" Club is an organization honoring those students who have earned letters during the year. The "L" Club of '58 was led by left to right: Gayle Freeman, Treasurer, Bobby Gann, Vice President, Prentice Sisco, President, Richard Stone, Sergeant-at-Arms, and Beth Donnell, Sec- retary. Before a letter is awarded to a football or basketball player, the coaches take into con- sideration the effort a player has put forth, the numbers of quarters he has played, and what he has contributed to the team. Cheerleaders and team managers are automatically eligible for letters. The "L" Club sponsored a sale of student movie privilege cards, the alumni games, and also bake sales. Banquets are given each year for the teams, and this year for the first time, an All-Sports banquet is to be held.
