National Honor Society The National Honor Society is composed of students who maintain a B scholastic aver- age throughout high school. The students are also chosen for their dependability and ini- tiative displayed. During the second semester of the 1966- 67 school year, the members of the Honor Society succeeded in establishing an honor system in Lebanon High School. We hope that this will lead to a stable and respected honor program which will eradicate dis- honesty that may exist in our school. The SCA is composed of the presidents of classes, clubs, homerooms, the editor of the annual, the edi- tor of school paper and the three elected officers. It provides a medium through which students ' opin- ions may be heard and a forumfor the consideration of common school problems. Some of the activities for this year were orientation p r o g r a m for the eighth grade, amended nomination and election procedures for SCA officers, homecoming float, sponsored Christmas bulletin board contest, helped County Welfare Department with White Christmas baskets, and presented a number of assembly pro- grams. The president attended Girls ' State and Workshop at Radford College, and delegates attend- ed the District SCA meeting at Bland. Books and filmstrips pertaining to each academic course are avail- able in the library. Miss Nell Howard is always willing to help further the student ' s knowledge of library science.
