In the fall of 1937 one hundred and twenty fuye
Coy and nonehalant students entered as the Freshman
class In that year Robert Morrus Jack Chaulle and
Anna Jane Summons were elected presudent yuce
presudent and secretary treasurer respectuyely I
was decuded that on November 5 our freshman class
party would be held and wuth the assustance of our
sponsors Muss Mary Ellen Armstrong and Mr Mar
vun Ruchey our furst was a yery successful one
Now we are sophomores' We held structly to
the rule that year that women are the weaker sex for
we elected Fred Iacobellu presudent Robert Walters
vuce presudent Wray Fruend secretary treasurer
Sponsor Albert Longbrake helped the class to make
our party un November another vuctory un our name
Durmg the last of September we Qwhat was
known as the unuor class gathered un the lubrary
to choose George McNaughton presudent by
unanumous vote Claur Young yuce presudent and
Anna Jane Summons was chosen to run the fanancual
end of the class
On October 13 under the durectuon of ouu
sponsors Muss Lydua Bell and Mr Myron Tauer we
held our class party un the gymnasuum As thus oc
casuon occured upon Fruday the 13th the program
was based upon superstutuon The program commut
tee for thus affaur consusted of Wray Fruend ehaur
man June Proffitt ames McDan1el and Robert
Walters Junuor Swope was un charge of the tucket
sale wuth Rosemary Martun Barbara Beck and
commuttee consusted of Robert Morrus chaurman
Phyllus Scufres Frank Crowl and Donald Watkuns
We were the first students to produce a unuou
Carnuyal whuch was to take the place of a unuor
play through whuch we would obtaun money to pre
sent the junuor Senuor Receptuon un the sprung Thus
gala ey ent held on November 3 resembled a regular
carnuy al wuth uts booths of rung toss fortune tellung
and freak shows

Our last year found us mungled wuth many
functuons whuch clumaxed our hugh school career
Actuvutues got under way early thus year when the
Senuor Dunner Party was held October ll un the
Central Chrustuan Church at 6 30 After the dunner
whuch was un charge of jack West chaurman anus
Megley Beth Cragun jane Puttunger and unuor
Swope there was the candelabrum ceremony and
after dunner speeches guyen by Mr X an Ruper Dan
Martun presudent of the class Phyllus Scufres Mary
Lee Clune Claur Young and Wray Fruend After
these talks the party proceeded to the unuor Hugh
Assembly where the program was un charge of ack
Chaulle chaurman Beyerly Cluek Norma Perkuns
and Cecul Gules The program consusted of a play
and a short game of Truth and Consequences vsuth
lack West and Bob Walters leadung the game
After the program dancung was enjoyed un the
Dugout wuth about one hundred and twenty fuye
students and faculty present at the party
The church was decorated un gold and black
Sunce the theme of the party was based on the buuld
ung of skyscrapers one was placed un thc center of
Wednesday Noyember 20 was Homecomung
where we enacted a Horse Round Up The program

After the program tea was sery ed to the mem
bers of the reunuon classes un specual reunuon rooms
At 7 45 oclock Brownsburg and Lebanon
played the Homecomung basketball game
On Aprul 25 vue vuere guests of the lunuous fou
the annual unuor Senuor Receptuon vshueh was held
un the lubrary under the durectuon of Muss Mary Ann
Tauer and Mr Maryun Ruchey yunuor sponsors
As the appounted hour approached we were the
center of attraetuon Accordung to custom Bacca
laureate was held on May 25 Class Nught on May
followung on the 29th
